Facing Difficult Times

What was the most difficult time in your life?
How did you deal with it emotionally, physically, financially?

When you think back to a time you would consider very difficult what happened?  People I have known talked about several different situations such as:
Being a single mother and having to work 2 jobs while trying to raise children.
Being diagnosed with something that was life changing.
Living through World War II and loosing loved ones, dealing with food stamps and gas rationing.
Obviously the list is endless and each of us have had our own individual difficulties to handle.
We can all fall into thinking negatively which may lead to fear, anxiety, depression, or self-pity.  However, this is where we have a choice and can decide to take control of how to deal with the situation.

Some of the things that helped each person get through was reaching out to others for help and support. Even if it was just through a letter (during WW II that was the only means of communication between family members.) This allowed them to write out their thoughts and feelings.  Today we can still write a letter, call on the phone, FaceTime, Zoom, or go outdoors and talk with neighbors (maintaining a distance of 6 feet). Another is knowing that everyone is going through the pandemic and we are not alone.
Keep in mind the bad times will end. The most important thing is faith, taking care of yourself, and maintaining relationships with family and friends.
